About
My name is Hartley Millson and I’ve been doing landscape photography seriously for about 2 years now. I always had a passion for the outdoors, hiking and camping and it only seemed right to try and capture the moments I was experiencing. I bought my first DSLR in 2012, but didn’t consider myself competent during the first 4 years I was experimenting with its potential. But in spring 2016 I had a serious knee injury, actually a re-injury from a previous skiing accident in 2014. This time I thought that I had done irreparable damage. I spent the next 5 months mostly homebound. I went to work, but that’s about it — walking was just too tiring and painful. I spent this time learning how to use my camera, and I promised myself that I would get out and travel to the parts of world that I always wanted to see if I got healthy enough to handle the demands of trekking. So here I am. I built this website as a journal and as a showcase. I don’t have any expectations other than personal growth.
